He Is Enough...

A character in author Stephanie Grace Whitson's novel -- self-described as a varmit turned preacher -- spoke the following, "Just Jesus. That's the only answer I have for all the questions. But I stand here this morning to tell you, both because the Bible says it and because I've experienced it: He is enough. Always and forever, He is enough."

Could you share this same testimony?
JUST JESUS.
HE IS ENOUGH.

I have questions.
HE has the answers.

Sometimes I struggle mightily.
Often I search to fill an unwanted emptiness within my heart. I race about trying to acheive something of value.
I wonder how to overcome the sin of selfishness, the mistakes and wrong choices that often interrupt my days.

HE is enough.

The answer is simple. JUST JESUS. HE IS ENOUGH.

Oh, that I could live my days remembering the Truth of these words...

I'll Be Right Back!

As Alexander paused to guzzle down a glass of water the other day, I looked across the yard & saw this. The image seemed to perfectly capture my little guy -- all boy & always on the go!

Fathers Day 2010

This past weekend my parents, my grandparents & Blake's parents were all able to celebrate Fathers Day together.

The table centerpiece included dad-type momentos: a marble collection, a book on training up boys, my great-grandfathers Bible, a horse collection, an wooden-handled hammer, a plant (representing gardeners & farmers), etc.

The items were simply collected from throughout out house but displayed together I think the end result was kind of poetic :)

I've Got Style...

Yes! I do!
I've got style...
...how 'bout YOU!

Workin' With Daddy...

Over Memorial Day weekend, Blake painted our garage which was built last Spring. Lest you believe him overwhelmed with the painting project -- no worries -- he had a very willing helper (and it wasn't his wife)!

Come As You Are...

Do you even wonder?
Do you ever question?
Can the love of God reach YOU?

The answer lies within these lyrics on 'More Than Noise' album by
Pocket Full of Rocks.

He’s not mad at you, And He’s not disappointed
His grace is greater still, Than all of your wrong choices

He is full of mercy, And He is ever kind
Hear His invitation, His arms are open wide

CHORUS
You can come as you are
With all your broken pieces
And all your shameful scars
The pain you hold in your heart
Bring it all to Jesus
You can come as you are

Louder than the voice, That whispers you’re unworthy
Hear the sound of love, That tells a different story

Shattering your darkness, And pushing through the lies
How tenderly He calls you, His arms are open wide

"The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: "I have loved you with an everlasting love;" (Jeremiah 31:3)

Choosing Gratitude: Your Journey To Joy

I recently started a new study by Nancy Leigh DeMoss; a book which promises a journey towards heaven-sent joy.

Not a here-today-and-gone-tomorrow kind of gladness, but a deep and profound joy that simply cannot and will not be shaken.

It is a journey I am excited to be taking. Perhaps I will share some of the topic here & you can come along, too.

For now, here is something to ponder, "If tomorrow's supply depended on today's thanksgiving, how much would I have tomorrow?"
